A little background about our singer-songwriter-entertainer…
Ami has recorded an EP, a live show DVD and two albums, “Close to Home” and “One Woman Show – Ami Live”.
Ami has toured Australia and abroad with her celebrated ONE WOMAN SHOW, performing at major venues and festivals.
Born, Sydney Australia. Studied at The McDonald College of Performing Arts, ranking third in NSW for HSC Music.
Awarded a Licentiate of Music in Singing (AMEB) and A+ for 8th grade Piano (AMEB).
Studied acting with Hayes Gordon at The Ensemble Theatre. Graduated with a Bachelor of Music from The Sydney Conservatorium of Music, winning a scholarship in opera to further her studies in Germany with the world renowned Baritone Thomas Quastoff. Appearances include Opera Australia’s Turandot, Iolanthe (conducted by Richard Bonynge), Camina Burana and The State Opera of South Australia’s Sweeney Todd (Directed by Gale Edwards).
Winner of the Sydney Language Scholarship studying at The Goethe Institute in Berlin.
Toured nationally with her father, country music star John Williamson.
Winner of the Mars Hill Songwriting competition.
Recorded for 2MBS-FM, ABC Classic FM and ABC Radio National as well as performing for tv and radio for such shows as Channel Nine’s A Current Affair, Hey Hey It’s Saturday, Good Morning Australia, The Midday Show, Burkes Backyard, The Today Show, 9am, and Mornings with Kerri-Anne.
Studied ballet at the Vanborough school of Dance.
Studied jazz and tap dancing at the Johnny Young Talent school and later went on to join the Young Talent Time touring group.
